Hi! My name is Lori Willoughby. I relate to being in pain, not being able to move the way I want and to having my desire to do something completely overshadowed by any number of things, because I have been there. I was welding aluminum boat frames in 1980 when I stretched up to turn a frame and came down unhinged. I had torn all the muscles and ligaments off L5 (the lowest lumbar vertebrate). I finally found a chiropractor that used a lot of muscle work which helped me begin to heal. The next year I got pregnant. That really did NOT help that bad back! In 1992 I went to massage school. Massage helped me get on my feet and be able to move much better, and I found that I was good at helping others through massage. In 1993, I was painting my house when the ladder went down. I jumped. On landing on my thigh, I fractured another low back vertebrate. Working on me, my friend and I learned a lot about healing me with energy; at the same time we were studying for our National Cerification test for massage therapists. (The chiropractor that was working with me said I should have had that bruise for at least 3 months. By the end of 3 weeks you could watch the last of it disappearing! And I passed the test and got my National Certification in Massage Therapy and Bodywork.) In 2000 I went to the Barbara Brennan School of Healing where I healed more and learned about the human energy systems. Now I can walk the dog and know that I can bend down and reach the ground when I need to!
